GSDCAtlanta is offering Dog Obedience Classes:

Start: Tuesday, May 6th 2014

Classes: Each Tuesday

Enrolment: 7:00 - 7:15 pm

Location: 3301 Windy Ridge Parkway Atlanta, GA 30339

Format: Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks, each class lasting 45 minutes.

Cost:

  • Club Member Cost: $25
  • Non Club Member Cost: $75

Classes to be offered:

  • 7:15 Puppy Class: Introduction to learning to work together; basic dog behaviors on command..
  • 7:15 CGC: Preparation for AKC Canine Good Citizen test. Includes loose-leash walking and coming when called.
  • 8:00 Detection Class: Nosework scents will be used and provided. (prerequisite: decent public manners, a solid sit, down OR stand.)

An AKC Canine Good Citizen test will be offered to enrollees on the last class day.

Any dog breeds and their humans are welcome to attend. All dogs must have proof of current vaccines, including Bordetella

Go south on I-75 to Exit 260 - Windy Hill Rd./Smyrna - Turn Left on Windy Hill Road for 0.7 miles. Turn right on Powers Ferry Road for 0.5 miles. Turn left onto Windy Ridge Pkwy, and then turn right into the first driveway. The parking garage is straight ahead.

Please be a responsible dog owner! Bring "pooper-scooper" materials and equipment, and your dog's drinking water, bowl, and favorite treats, and only use the designated exercise area. Also, bring a six-foot cloth or leather leash.
